Excellence Resort- the Staff and coco locos is what makes it Andelson rodriguez and Ricardo Martinez made our entire trip! Andelson aka sexy chocolate is a great host and makes you feel so welcome and special to the resort. He does all the events at night and during the day. Ricardo who works in magna makes the best drinks and every night I looked forward to seeing him! Be sure to get the espresso and dirty martinis from him. Also, old fashioned smoked! He loves making cocktails and adding a fun twist to them to make your experience that much better! We enjoyed the club excellence and highly recommend it! We had access to magna, our own beach, and also better liquor brands, plus more. The coco locos are the best drink for during the day! The food was decent but not the best. We heard that the grill is really good but we didn’t get to go. Magna has a good braised short rib dinner and Chez Isabelle has great beef stew and beef tenderloin. Spice was okay. Agave was pretty good! Lobster house has a great seafood risotto!! We didn’t go to oregano. The staff is what makes the resort and your experience great! From Austin and Victoria Belk

Excellence is well named , a wonderful resort My wife and I have stayed at 7 Punta Cana resorts, the excellence is by far the most wonderful experience we have had. The hotel is a smaller resort, but has everything you could wish for, from the moment of arriving to leaving the quality of the hotel, the staff and most importantly the food was absolutely exceptional. The food is based around a series of restaurants. The Grill is a steak house, the meat quality was as good as any restaurant I visit in my hometown of Toronto., Spice is an Asian restaurant m the portions are small but beautifully prepared and the French restaurant serves a true French style experience. The excellence Club members get access to several exclusive areas including the Magna Restaurant. Tonight I ordered the Tomohawk steam to share and the braised beef, they would rate as amongst the best meals I have had in many months. The evening entertainment at most DR hotels is at best well intentioned, at Excellence the shows where high quality and very enjoyable The beach can be fairly challenging with strong currents so care should be taken. That said the facilities are not overcrowded , the pools are calm and beautifully kept and the beach walks are the most wonderful we have had. I would seriously give the resort 10/10 for its quality and will definitely be heading g back to one of the excellence resorts in the near future.

A review on a little of everything This was my first time doing an all inclusive resort and I can’t express enough how great of a choice we made selecting Excellence El Carmen for this. The staff through out the entire stay from restaurants, to bars, to pool areas, and the beach were very friendly and paid a lot of attention to detail. We enjoyed the resorts night life entertainment which changed daily. They had aqua shows, dance shows, dj set ups, and overall a great atmosphere to just sit back and relax after a day out in the sun. We were able to try most of their restaurants and all did not disappoint. There are various add ons you can include in case of celebrating something special or overall just enjoying life. The spa and a romantic dinner at the beach were 2 of the add ons we did and they both did not disappoint as well.

Best All Inclusive!! Came here back in June and absolutely loved it! We were welcomed as soon as we got there but champagne and a cold towel. The check in process was seamless and we were quickly golf carted to our room. We got a quick tour of the room and then were on our own! We spent a lot of time at the pool by the Sol bar. The staff at the Sol Bar is amazing and are always willing to help! The biggest standouts for us were the food and the activities. The food overall was very good but our favorite restaurants were Spice, The Grill, and Chez Isabelle. At Spice, our waitress was Roberta who was very friendly! She helped answer questions and made sure we were always taken care of with food and drinks. At the Grill, we had Adan who made sure we left full. He decided our appetizers and dessert for us and did not steer us wrong! At Chez Isabelle, Deiby gave us amazing service for our last night. He wanted us to have a nice special dinner and the food was spectacular! Also don’t forget to order room service as the Salmon is very good! The activities were our favorite by far. Ruth and Pamela were outstanding. They recognized us for every activity and danced with us all the time! No matter the time of day, you could find Ruth. She is so much fun and is there to make sure you have a good time! Overall this was the best All-Inclusive I have ever been to and look forward to visiting other Excellence Clubs!

Would go back to Excellence Punta Cana We ere a group of 15 , ladies trip. It was exactly what we were looking for in terms of beauty, cleanliness, and hospitality. Please note that this resort has lots to do , but it’s not “hard party party” we made the best of it and often were the firsts at the night club. The staff were all great, special shouts out to Ricardo at Magna, Basilio (all bars), Jesus from Lobster house, Karen from the buffet and lobster house, Joan luggage helper, Daniel from the nightclub, and Andelson aka Chocolate. Chocolate is the hype man however he picks up on energy. My dog passed while I was on vacation and had sad eyes he it was his mission to make me feel better, and made sure everyone was enjoying their time. They have staff cleaning the beach, of seaweed, and believe it or not NO MOSQUITOES!!! They said they exterminate. Please Note if you do the buggy excursion, the promise you Macao beach and a dip in the cave.. buggy ride was fun despite driving through a sad place with children begging for money. Then when you’re at the so-called cave it’s a man made cement looking 7 ft pool made to look like a small cave. Theirs a gift shop there and they say 25% of the proceeds go to help those poor families. It’s completely false. If you book it just know your really paying for just the buggy ride.
