Do not stay here The manager, Etta, was very rude, unprofessional, and unwillingly to accommodate with the issues that we had. No apology for the inconvenience. Threatened to kick us out of the hotel, just for being frustrated with them for the unwillingness to fix their mistake. Do not waste your money on this place. This ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing and stress-free getaway.

Good Location. Rooms need upgrade. Location is good. We felt safe walking around the area in the evening. Right by the lake and only a few minutes of walk to Michigan Ave and many food options near by. Room needed upgrade. There was visible wear and tear on the desk, counter by the window, and bathroom. Requested no house cleaning due to minimize contact, but someone came into the room while we were away to drop off a piece of furniture and moved our luggage around. It wasn't a pleasant surprise and didn't seem necessary. Overall ok experience, but expected better from a W hotel.

BEWARE!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL Our experience at the W Chicago - Lakeshore was TERRIBLE. We drove from Minnesota to Chicago When we got to the room, the door key scanner was broken, dirty wine glasses sitting in front of the doorway; I’m guessing from the previous customers. When we walked inside of the room, the bathroom was disgusting, mold on the grout, dirty walls and mirrors. As soon as we noticed those things, we headed back to the lobby and addressed the issues to Maria, the font desk representative at the time. She was so disrespectful and insulting. She offered us snacks at 2 am. We didn’t say we were hungry, we came to make a complaint about a disgusting room that no customers should stay in. We ended up switching rooms. It was approximately 2:30am at that point when we got to the other room. That room was even worse. They put our safety at risk by putting us in a room with a broken mirror. First thing in the morning we asked to speak to the manager. Her name is Jacqueline Brogdon. She is very incompetent and shouldn’t hold a managing position due to her incompetency. She was clueless, provided misinformation, refused to provide her higher ups email after making multiple request for her to do so and, on top of it all, harassed my fiancée with phone calls to our room even after we told her that we wanted to escalate the situation. How can a manager managed an establishment so poorly. We are loyal customers, have stayed in Marriott for several years and have never dealt with such disgrace. That is NOT Marriott’s standard. We will follow up with someone in a higher chain of command and will contact headquarters to make a formal complaint.

Anywhere in downtown Chicago attraction We live in Northwest suburbs of Chicago, going downtown with family or as a couple Is always expensive. Parking is ridiculous ranges from $30-$50. no where is free or safe to park. Walking the mag mile is not safe and lots of homeless people. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO CHICAGO. We have a saying here in Illinois "CROOKE COUNTY"

Quick getaway We stepped out of our “Hilton Hotels” box and were looking for a lakefront hotel, W Chicago was a great choice. Our room had a beautiful view (picture attached) and we loved the long wrap around sofa in the room that encourages you to sit, relax and enjoy the view. Price was very reasonable for that view. Our room(normal size with king size bed) was a little small. Coming in the door is very narrow! Staff was nice and valets were quick getting our car when we left. The bar area had a lot of people and looked great, we did not hang out there at all so I can’t say how the drinks/food were. My only complaint is the bathroom door, it was a slide door with a pretty large gap so it didn’t fully close. (Pictures attached) That made me uncomfortable, that’s a private area. LOL There was also a fogged window that you could see the persons shadow that was in the bathroom. Very strange.
