Questions & Answers (72)
- A: The camera isnt heavy at all maybe at most a little less than 2 pounds. I just purchased mine 2 weeks ago and I love it! Great pictures and videos! It's a great camera for both beginner and intermediate users!
- A: The D3400 is Bluetooth only. It works directly with Nikon's Snapbridge app. The app is available for free download for both iOS and AndroidOS-based smart devices. You will be able to view the images on your cameras card from your device. You can download them. You can post them directly to social media or email after download. The camera does not have built-in WiFi.
Q: Would I be able to change to different lenses ? (1 answers)
A: Yes, the Nikon D3400 DSLR camera has a Nikon F bayonet mount system that allows the user to use different Nikon lenses. The Nikon D3400 DSLR camera is fully compatible with Nikon AF-S, AF-P and E-type lenses. Nikon AI and AF-type lenses can also be used but must be focused manually as the Nikon D3400 camera does not have a built-in focus motor. The Nikon F bayonet is designed to support Nikon lenses.- A: The Nikon D3400 DSLR camera can focus automatically when using using AF-S, AF-P or E-type lenses, as each of these types of lenses has a built-in autofocus motor. Some DSLR camera bodies have a built-in focus motor and can use AF-type lenses in addition to the previously mentioned lens types. There are also cameras that are considered to be all automatic, or point and shoot, that do not use interchangeable lenses. The Nikon D3400 listed here comes with an AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens that will autofocus when you press the camera's shutter-release button down halfway. A: Well yes,the battery is included. You should find it in plastic with the manual and other warranty info.Q: Can I transfer photos from the Nikon D3400 to a computer and how do I do it. (2 answers)
A: Yes, you can. Images can be transferred to a computer by taking the card out of the Nikon D3400 camera and inserting it into a card reader port on the computer to upload them. Another way to get the images transferred from the Nikon D3400 to the computer is by leaving the card in the camera and connecting the camera to the computer with a UC-E21 USB Cable (sold seperately). Detailed information on image transfer can be found in the Quick Start Guide that is provided in the box upon purchase.Q: What is the shutter lag on this camera? I need to be able to stop movement. (1 answers)
A: The Nikon D3400 DSLR camera has a continuous shooting option that allows you to get up to 5 frames per second. There are also settings and modes that will allow you to freeze motion. Placing the camera in "P" mode and choosing a low f-number will help you to freeze motion. You can also try placing it in "S" Mode which will allow you to choose a faster (low f-number) shutter speed; the camera will then automatically adjust aperture for optimal exposure. There is also an option of "Sports Mode" which chooses all the settings for you and automatically puts it in the continuous shooting setting. To learn more about how to get the most out of your camera please contact Nikon Support.
