Great turntable for playing at home.

Great for everyday use

I read the reviews about this particular smaller player and decided to purchase it. The negative comments mention the speaker quality not being the best, but we use larger auxiliary speakers so that wasn't an issue with us. I like that it is small in size, easy to understand, and you can close the lid while still playing a record (important for us, especially around a 15-month-old with sticky hands). I highly recommend this record player, particularly if you have auxiliary speakers.

Better than expected

As the reviews appeared to be mixed I wasn't sure what to expect. So far my son has really enjoyed the turntable and has been playing records non-stop. He usually uses the built-in speakers but sometimes he plugs in some external speakers and both seem to work well.

great for some who just wants to play old records

Set it up in about 5 mibutes after I got it home then played a couple record sounded very good. This is perfect for someone who wants to get into playing records or already has a collection. Also can be connected to a receiver.

Great bang for the buck

Plays records, has easy to use controls, plugs up to my receiver, auto stops at the end of a record, and has a small enough footprint to be shoved into an entertainment center. Only gripe is the low bass and no auto return on the arm. Overall though great bang of for the buck!

- A:Answer Thank you for choosing JENSEN. You cannot add speakers directly to the unit. The backside has RCA Line-out Jacks. Using a cable to connect this to another amp, or pre-amp, you can drive additional speakers.

- A:Answer This JENSEN model has RCA connectors on the back side. This LINE-OUT will allow you to connect to your pre-amp. And, yes, this will play 45's

- A:Answer Do not connect additional speakers to this unit as there is not enough power to drive them. On the back of this unit is a pair of LINE OUT RCA jacks. You can connect this unit to an external Hi-Fi / AMPLIFIER system by connecting the LINE OUT RCA Jacks to the auxiliary input jacks on your Hi-Fi / AMPLIFIER system with RCA cables (not included). Then the additional speakers can be connected to the auxiliary AMPLIFIER.
