HONESTLY: The title is what first attracted me to the book. I know you should never judge a book by its cover but if the cover is so compelling it makes you want to read it, you might be surprised at how often you instincts are correct as was the case for this book.
FIRST AN EXPLANATION: I have read a lot of books, in the hundreds if not thousands. Most could be categorized as self-help, sales, motivational, inspirational, and/or history (often combined with other subjects I am interested in). Kdowiak’s book is a self-help book written with the contents of a lot of other books I have read but this book is different because of the way he writes and how in injects personal experiences to demonstrate that he has lived a lot of not most of what he writes about. Therefore there is a significant amount of reality contained this book as compared to others that are more theory than self-experienced personal disasters.
Put simply, this is an excellent read. As I was reading I could not help but think that the perfect audience for the book and its contents would be teenagers just starting out in life. The problem with that theory is that they oftentimes received sound advice from their parents, some teachers but certainly not all, and maybe the worse source of sound advice comes from friends as if those friends have experienced life at all as yet. Still this is an excellent book for young teenagers provided those teenagers can discuss its contents with their parents or people they trust that would help guide them in the proper direction. I also could not help but recall what I read in several of Wallace Wattles books like The Science of Getting Rich, in that “you must think in a CERTAIN WAY!” That is the message of Kdowiak’s book. If one does not think in a “certain way”, the results they achieve can be almost anything but most would not be what they had desired or intended.
Taken from the book:
“There once lived a person who could have, would have, and should have
done things differently.
Don’t let that person be you!”
This one quote from the book sums up its intention. There are Life Landmines (his term) that can prove to be fatal to one’s success path. If you fail to recognize what consists of such landmines they could be impossible detect until it is too late. Kdowiak points out the landmines as he has experienced them and gives anecdotes as to how he responded or worse how he reacted (there is a difference).
This IS a good book!
Who should read it? EVERYONE, why not if it helps you avoid Life’s Landmines
Would I read it again? Probably not as I have read many books with similar content but that is the only reason I probably would not read it for a second or third time.
Would I give it as a gift? Absolutely! Already have!
This book is in keeping with my personal Life’s Mission Statement:
To help people to do what they do; to do it better!
That is what this book is all about provided you read it.

5つ星のうち4.0 Get out of “well of mediocrity"
Amazonで購入Mark L. Wdowiak’s book If Life Stinks, Get Your Head Outta Your Buts is a self-help book by title. Mark is a successful entrepreneur and author who faced ups and downs in his own life. Mark not only survived but thrived. This book teaches people how to get out of “well of mediocrity” to pursue happiness and success. It is a combination of his personal stories and useful tips.
The ideas in this book are not new, but the author put them together in a straightforward, persuasive, and authentic way. The author is so determined to convey the message that he requests readers to sign initials after finishing each chapter. What a smart idea!
It is an outstanding book that offers guidance in a philosophy way. If you feel you are stuck or would like to be more successful, take a read of this book. I would also recommend this book to young people who start their lives. The author talks like a big brother and tells you how to search for your purpose in life. You will be ready to take more responsibilities after reading this book.

5つ星のうち5.0 A GUIDE TO THE SECRET TO HAPPINESS & SUCCESS THAT DELIVERS WHAT IT PROMISES!
Amazonで購入If Life Stinks, Get Your Head Outta Your Buts: A No-Nonsense
Guide to Happiness and Success by Mark L. Wdowiak is an amazing book that is worth reading more than once and keeping in your permanent library.
I ordered a free sample of this book from Amazon when the catchy title caught my eye. I seldom buy a book until I’ve read a free sample. I ordered the book from Amazon after reading the sample. Later, after I had already read If Life Stinks, Get Your Head Outta Your Buts: A No-Nonsense Guide to Happiness and Success by Mark L. Wdowiak, I got a chance to review it for Online Book Club. So I read it again before writing the review. I will read it again sometime, probably more than once.
There are 32 short, easy to read chapters in If Life Stinks, Get Your Head Outta Your Buts: A No-Nonsense Guide to Happiness and Success by Mark L. Wdowiak. This book contains Mark L. Wdowiak’s lifetime of accumulated wisdom. His emphasis is on taking responsibility for yourself and working to improve your life. He shares stories from his own life, both successes and failures. He leaves it to the readers to determine what success is to them, but gives concrete, practical tips to help them achieve it.
I am reviewing this book so that Mark L. Wdowiak can, hopefully, sell more copies of it, and also so that anyone who may have been searching, without success, for a practical way to learn to be happy and successful will know about this book.

5つ星のうち5.0 An Excellent Book Overall
Amazonで購入I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Sometimes self-help books come off as if they were written by a person who has no clue about real life, and sometimes the author tries too hard to apply "tough love," which tends to mean they have no filters when it comes to saying hurtful things. This author was very real and he was also understanding. The only thing I disliked about the book was the implication that if people are lonely and have trouble making friends, it is because they have unpleasant demeanors. This sort of assertion is hurtful to people who have conditions like autism or who struggle with social anxiety.
