I would definitely recommend this app. I love the little critter and my 21 month old son loves this app. This series is great because of the different setting on the app. You can auto play, read on my own or read to me. There are also activities within the stories for the kids as they grow, like searching for the spider and grasshopper throughout the book. The kids can also touch pictures in the book and it will tell the child what the object is and the words will appear on the screen. This app is interactive, educational and your child will enjoy. The price is worth it, given 1 book is $1.99.

The one bad thing is when a story is over my son gets so upset, he hasn't figured out how to control the playing of the stories to start a new one. That's not an app issue though, my son just needs time to learn how to work the app.

If there were other high-quality collections of kids books in Amazon apps at this price point, I would certainly buy them (overpriced Dr. Seuss Beginner Book Collection #1, I'm looking at you). Right now, the only other one that I know of worth checking out is The Berenstain Bears' BIG Bedtime Book, which is quite good.

I love Little Critter stories and won't review the content of the literature. They're they type of books I enjoyed as a child and am happy my sons love now.

Better than the stories is that the app has worked flawlessly. I don't remember how many stories there are... 10ish. Regardless, you can choose which story to read then read yourself, read and follow along, or have an auto-play option. With each option you can touch objects on the pages and see the word flash up and Little Critter say "chair", "bus", "spider", etc. There are goals to find objects during a story as you read and the kids love the interactive nature. Both my 2 & 4 year old have had a ball with this app and I have found them choosing this over videos or games several times.

My Grand daughter loves that the app reads to her. She loves to touch the pictures and turn the pages on her own. This was her introduction to little critter, books that I read to her Daddy when he was little, and she loves them. Well worth the price. I wish there were more collections, I would buy them all.

My only complaint about this is that I'd already purchased a couple of the Critter books so I ended up paying for them again as part of the collection. Otherwise this is a great set of books that cover a lot of big events in little people's lives: potty training, becoming a big brother, learning to do things for themselves, going on outings with Mom, and much more.

A little secret about all of these books is the hidden picture games. Your toddler will enjoy finding a mouse, spider, or grasshopper on almost every page of these books, and at the end will be told how many they found.

They are also helping my 7yr old learn new words. The graphics are good, no glitching or pausing. I would definitely recommend this book collection for anyone.

Our grandson loved it. I could read the stories myself or have them read. The readings were great so I let them be read. My grandson is 2 years 3 months old. He just got a new baby brother. The stories all seemed to fit. There was one on getting a new baby sister, one on learning to use the potty, one on trying to do something nice for mommy, along with others. He liked them all. I will be looking for more Mercer Mayer apps.

We ordered this as a Christmas gift for our nephew, who is 5, without realizing that it was an ebook. Who the heck wants a childs book in ebook format?
