    My Hi Tec boots are now 7 years old and showing signs of old age - bit like myself. They've given me excellent service which is why I'm buying Hi Tec again. I'd buy more Hi Tec products if they hadn't so severely restricted their range of half sizes.

    The boots are lightweight, comfortable and look smart...too smart to go tramping over muddy fields!

    I think I over paid mind. If I had gone for a different colour - black and grey - I would have save £37!. A bit miffed about that!

    Very good and comfortable pair of shoes despite couple of drawbacks. The vibram sole ensures soft and bouncy steps while waking which is great for sore knees. Would definitely give five stars for comfort. The pair lasted me almost a year in both, office and outdoors environments.
    Could probably last much longer if the outer material did not rip from the sole in the big toe mound area on BOTH of the shoes. After some time inner lining also ripped in the same area- this accounts for minus 1.5 star.
    Another 0.5 of the star goes because the feet in these shoes seems to perspire much more no matter what kind of socks wearing. Shoes are also absorbing quite a bit of the sweat and start smell accordingly.

    Warning, buy a half size larger.
    Found them a tad tight when walking.
    Would have sent them back in exchange for a larger pair but had worn them out doors.
    Could do with a little more spring in the step but hey for the price you cant expect more.
    Am persevering in the hope that they'll stretch a bit.

    Got these three years ago. They are still in pretty good condition after pretty regular use.
    Great fit - they are soft, but stay on the feet firmly. I did everyday walking, cycling, running, hiking in these boots, and they are just great. Very comfortable.
    The only downside I can think of the the fact that they absorb a lot of sweat, so they start smelling after a few months. Machine washing and shoe deodorant kinda helps.

    I have slopped and slipped along many pathways this wet winter in Britain, walking my happy retriever dog, and these boots have been a revelation. You could go all day in them. Totally waterproof and the high ankle means that my wet trouser bottoms don't get felt wet either. I am a size 9 and these size 9s fitted fine. Walk dog , then waitrose: these boots are perfect for both.
