    I bought a pair of the hiking boot version of these a few years back (to do the Thames walk). The boots are very lightweight and very comfortable straight out of the box - these trainers are just as good if not better. I especially like the quick lace up system and the sole, which is the same long lasting and flexi type so you'll get years of wear out of them.

    They are not as breathable as a pure running shoe if using for cross country/all terain running (but they are gore/waterproof so not supposed to be!) but good enough to wear for sports or for casual. I have a fairly normal (if slightly wider foot) so probably not good for narrow feet. I can thoroughly recommend.

    Great trainers. Very comfy, good looking if that's your thing. The drawstring is much preferable to usual laces and you get used to it very quickly. These are my 2nd pair of these, at first I was worried about the drawstring snapping - if it does, there's no way of replacing it - but neither pair has ever shown any sign whatsoever of that. Great trainers.

    I discovered these trainers on a trip to the states and am now on my 4th pair. They are extremely light and comfortable to wear. I have several foot problems, having dislocated a bone in my foot several years ago. Wearing these trainers I can run with no problem. They wear well too. Now if only they were waterproof they would be perfect! ( See waterproof socks!)

    Als ich den XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 GTX in einem Sportgeschäft im Österreichurlaub gesehen u. anprobiert hatte sagte mir dieser sofort zu. Leider hatte dieses Geschäft meine Größe in der gewünschten Farbe nicht vorrätig. Daher habe ich den Schuh in gewünschter Größe u. Farbe für einen günstigeren Preis über Amazon erwerben können.(40.-€ billiger)
    Nach ein paar Stunden des "Eintrages" passt sich der Schuh recht schnell dem Fuß seines Trägers an und der Tragekomfort ist wirklich super. Aber wie schon div. Vorredner berichtet hatten, muß der Schuh unbedingt mind. eine Größe größer gewählt werden, damit er passt. Das hatte ich schon bei der Anprobe im Sportgeschäft festgestellt gehabt.
    Ich nutze den Schuh in erster Linie als Laufschuh auf Wald-/Feldwegen, wenn ich mit dem Hund spazieren gehe. Daher ist es auch wichtig, daß er Nässe u. Dreck verträgt u. dieser Schmutz folglich auch wieder leicht beseitigt werden kann. Insofern bin ich bis Dato mit dem Schuh zufrieden und kann ihn nur empfehlen.

    Nachtrag: Nun, nachdem ich den Schuh fast ein Jahr getragen habe (Aug. 2013)muß ich meine damaligen 5 Sterne revidieren. Ein Schuh in dieser Preisklasse muß länger als 12 Monate durchhalten, auch wenn man ihn häufig trägt. Ich nutzte den Schuh fast täglich, meinst zum Spazieren mit dem Hund. Also wurde er nicht sehr beansprucht, wie es bei einem Jogger der Fall gewesen wäre. Zumal ich meist Wald-/Feldwegen nutzte. Ich habe den Schuh immer gern getragen. Doch nach ca. 10 Monaten löste sich an beiden Schuhen die Sohle ab, welche ich mit Kleber selber reparieren konnte. Doch seit ein paar Tagen kann ich mit dem Schuh auf Asphalt nicht mehr laufen, da die Schuhe bei jedem Schritt quitchen u. dass so laut ist, daß man sich selber gestört fühlt. Grund: das Profil ist, trotz der eigenltich minimalen Belastung, abgelaufen! Wäre das ein Billigschuh von Aldi für 15,90€ hätte ich dafür Verständnis, aber in dieser Preisklasse darf das nicht vorkommen. Ich bin nun gezwungen, mir eine Alternative zu suchen. Allerdings wird es mit Sicherheit kein Salamon mehr sein.

    Habe nun bereits zum dritten Mal Schuhe dieser Reihe und bin wie immer begeistert. Sie eigenen sich für mich sowohl zum Laufen (Wald, Wiese, Berge) als auch Wandern und den Alltag (zumindest in der Farbe Schwarz sehe ich hier keine Probleme). Die GoreTex-Membran arbeitet einwandfrei, solange das Wasser nicht am Knöchel in den Schuh läuft. Ich hatte anfangs bedenken bzgl. der Schnürung der Schuhe da das Ende des "Schuhbandes" nur verschweißt scheint, dies hält aber perfekt! Die Schnürung ist für mich, wie immer, gut gelöst und lässt sich sehr schnell und flexibel auf die verschiedenen Bedürfnisse, ob fest oder eher locker, anpassen.
