Product description

Product Description

Even though it's Winter, if you're getting out and active in the snow you still need to drink water. Since you are already loaded down with gear like poles, a regular water bottle is way too bulky, and plus it might freeze. That is why this StoAway by Camelbak is great. The super durable plastic bag inside that holds 100 ounces of water, and the external circular purple cap makes it easy to refill. Since it's so slim, it can fit inside your existing backpack with all your other necessities. The drinking tube allows you to access your water easily, so you're more likely to drink it and stay hydrated. All you do is bite the end and suck out the water just like a straw. The bag, tube and bite valve are all insulated, which prevents your water from turning to ice.

Brilliant. I had wanted one of these for ages, as they keep summer drinks cooler for longer and MOST IMPORTANTLY stop your bladder from freezing in winter conditions. I am a Munro bagger in Scotland, so freezing drinks (especially the hose) is a big problem for about 4-5 months of the year. This solves the problem perfectly. Very capable and very light too. Amazon price was fantastic, less than you would pay for just the bladder part in most shops!

This is a great hydration pack - tried a few and this keeps the water nice and cool, and so far has been leakproof and easy to use. The pack is easy to fill, and it helps having the little zip at the bottom to access the stopcock etc. The pack fits both my 30ltr and 12ltr backpack, and the straps hold it tight. First time I used it washed out with warm water etc, and there is no "plastic taste" to the water to date. The outside pack is tough and protects the bladder from any cuts etc so overall very happy.

I have other Camelbak products, and am very happy with them. I decided to add this one after an artic trekking where one of us was using it with satisfaction: sturdy construction. good insulation, its black color helps using sun heat to help the water liquid, its handles are very useful to hang it. All in all I find it quite good. Reccommended!

Bought about six of these as they are fabulous. On a hot summers day your water stays cool, your get a bit of warm water from the pipe and then lovely cold refreshing water. The covered tip is a great idea as when you put your bag down in a field the tip is protected from animal mess or rabbit dropping that might touch it otherwise.

3 litres would be good but no complaints at all.

The picture of this item does not sell it very well..... It is a superb insulated black cover with a removable inner pouch, plus the tube is fully insulated with a decent cover on the drinking mouth piece...this is great so when you take your rucksack off the open mouthpiece on other packs gets dirty where this is completely covered!
I have yet to discover if mine leaks after several uses or months but time will tell and as always with Amazon's brilliant returns policy that will be no worries anyway if it does!
All in all a great buy at £28, I think I will buy another for my wife!

Despite being insulated it froze on summit night on Kili. I had the bag right up against my back where it was warmest and despite this it froze. Dissapointed as I already had a non insulated 3 liter and I bought this on the basis it would work well on summit night.

Just the job for my line of work, easily portable and quite good latent heat resistant for a few hours. The only thing which would improve this would be if it came with a karabiner to attach it to wherever you need it. I attach mine to the inside of the hull of the vehicle I drive.

Good value, the bladder sometimes costs as much as this kit. Various other reviews on other websites have stated that the length of pipe should be longer, I didn't find this to be a problem. The pipe length runs from the bottom of my bag, over my shoulder and nearly to my waist. For scale, I am 6ft 1" tall. On the card that comes with the bladder it shows the pipe with a yellow valve at the end, which because if the insulated end cap, does not come with this model.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sostituito perchè incompleto. Aggiornamento: Ricevuto completo di tutto in sostituzione. Ottimo!

Impeccabile!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hält, was es verspricht
Reviewed in Germany on 17 October 2015

5.0 out of 5 stars acheté pour une rando dans les alpes
Reviewed in France on 15 August 2015
