    I purchased this after reading various reviews as I needed a water bottle for the office and gym. I've had this for a few months and other than a few chips on the paint it still looks fantastic.

    The bottle does make a whistling noise if you tilt it up too high to take a drink but if you hold it horizontally when you suck water from it the whistling noise is eliminated. It does take a few attempts to get the knack of it but once you do it's fine.

    I'd highly recommend this to anyone that asked.

    I am really trying to get away from the "plastic" world in my life and when I saw this item I thought it would be great!! I read the reviews and finally said ok. Overall I love the bottle but I am not really happy with the cap, it is noisy...more than I expected as I use this bottle at work!!! I wanted this type of cap because I have the bottle on my desk and it is safer. But wow...does it really have to make all that noise????
    I am thinking I should replace the cap already, which really does not make me all that happy :-( Bottle is Great and I have since ordered the Kleen Kanteen Cups.

    This bottle is an absolute pain. Forget throwing a water bottle in your gym bag because by the time you get there, your clothes are soaked. If the water manages not to completely empty itself, taking a sip of water emits a high pitched squeak alerting anyone nearby that yes, you've indeed taken a drink of water.

    Overall this Water bottle is very good. Sturdy construction with little to no flex. If you like drinking cold water, the mouth is wide enough for ice cubes.

    I dislike the size of the logo, something a little more anonymous or stylish like Sigg would be appreciated.

    The sports cap is a disaster. I have had water leak into my bag several times and soak my sheets once. Wish I had gotten the non sports cap.

    I feel strongly enough about this bottle that this is my first review of a product on Amazon. I purchased this bottle as a replacement for another Klean Kanteen 27 oz plain stainless bottle(about 1.5 years old) with a flat cap that I thought I lost.(Luckily it was found by a co-worker) "You don't know what you got till it's gone"

    The bottle goes with me everywhere I go as I do not care to drink out of plastic bottles or use a Styrofoam cup at work.(as so many do) I have encouraged several fellow Officers to purchase one.

    We have a reverse osmosis filter at work and refill it several times a day.(12 hr day)

    The key features that separate it from other bottles is the thickness of the bottle.
    The original natural finish bottle I purchased has been dropped, kicked, rolled, and slid on ceramic, concrete, asphalt, and decking(used during workouts also) and takes every beating it has been dealt. It has suffered numerous small dents from falling from a locker room bench when full, but the bottle still stands on its own.

    The threads on the flat cap are perfect for quick opening and easy closing with one hand driving; esp in the dark. Other bottles I have tried have a finer thread and were difficult to close.
    I was a little leery about purchasing the bottle with a sports cap. But after a couple months of use, the worry was unwarranted. The vent in the top of the bottle allows enough water to pass through the spout and does not leak when the bottle is on its side.(the way it rides in my car for 160+ hrs a month

    I did find that the cap's dust cover did seem to get a bit annoying putting it on and off continuously. For my use, I removed the protector which is attached to the neck of the bottle. It can be reattached easily if desired.

    I cant comment on the durability of the finish of the black bottle. I have had for a couple months and have not noticed any scratches on it yet.

    I do remember before I purchased my original bottle thinking that it was too much to spend on a water bottle. But 1.after buying several cheaper bottles 2. bypassing the convenience store 3. peace of mind health wise, the price is well worth it.
