    Second pair of "Tevas"...which i first came across referred to as "Raft Shoes" (Allegedly developed for use in white water rafting) Firt pair lasted me about 8 years and its pleasing to see that the design has remained mostly unchanged.

    These shoes are, simply, amazing...You can swim in them, canoe in them, cycle in them walk in them and climb in them.

    Just a few points to bear in mind (From my experience):

    1. Buy a size smaller than your shoe size...they need to be snug and not overhang your foot too much.
    2. Strap them on tight...That way they feel like part of your foot and you will not get blisters.
    3. If you have sweaty feet, leave the Tevas outside after use...They smell!
    4. Would not suggest you do it too often, but they will go through the washing machine on a normal 40 degree cycle.

    I wear them all Summer and would recommend them as they are great value for money.

    - oh dearie me! - the smell! - if you wear them daily - as you would expect - I wore mine for three weeks continually in Vietnam - eventually even with regular washing I had to succumb to using an anti-bacterial foot powder to avoid the 'pong' - reported to Teva, however did not get much satisfaction! surprising for such a well known name - however all in all not a bad product - I probably will buy another pair and a couple of clothes pegs!!! - I will also research other brands as these were expensive.

    I read several reviews before buying these sandals, so I decided to buy a pair, I'm so glad I did, I went Egypt and these sandals were a real godsend, they were extremely comfortable to wear, especially when visiting the pyramid of Giza in Cairo, it was quite stoney and uneven ground there, these sandals handled the terrain extremely well, in fact they handled all types of terrain everywhere I went in Egypt, including the Valley of the Kings, plus Abu Simbel where it is extremely hot there and Sharm el Sheikh (Bay of the Leader <<< translation), I even wore the sandals while paddling in The Nile and The Red Sea, these Teva sandals are very tough and durable and very comfortable, they are well worth money and would recommend them to anyone going away, either to a beach holiday or where there is rough terrain, they are even great to wear out in the evening with jeans or trousers. You will NOT regret buying a pair of these sandals!

    Would my 11 year old Terra Fi's last another trip to a land where bananas grow? Possibly not. So . . . There have been several changes over the years but the ideal balance between firmness & flexibility has been maintained as has the spider rubber sole which helps adhesion on smooth, wet surfaces. I have yet to discover whether the interface between the sandles and the soles of my sweaty feet is better but the old model dealt with sweat far better than cheap sandles. As either shoe sizing has gone mad or my feet have grown, I decided to buy one size larger this time and am satisfied that I made the right choice - as they are fully adjustable, I might have been satisfied with my original size (depending on whether my toes projected too close to the end).
    14 months on and I have just returned from another trip where the sandles were worn and have noticed that one of the soles has a split - bad news.

    These sandals are very comfortable, you can do long hikes, cycle in them and most everyday things. Perfect for people backpacking light for long periods and not wanting to carry too many pairs of footwear. The only issue I had with them is the straps are far too long over the top of the foot and at the heel and I've got quite wide feet. I have cut them down now but I worry that stitching may not be as strong. Overall though, still very happy with them and well worth the purchase.

    initial reaction was these are a great looking sandal and fitted perfectly, but on the second time of wearing them the side strap came loose on the right sandal, closer inspection revealed that the side strap was only held on by a small tack stitch which had oviously broken, unlike the left sandal which had heavey stitching. if i had purchased these locally i would have returned them immediately, but buying online and the time taken in returning goods is a pain ( and i needed the sandals for my holiday ),
    so out with needle and thread and did a self repair, so sandals ok to wear now, but a bit disappionted overall.

For me they felt so snug on the foot with no twist or slipping around within the sandal when on - ideal for walking and scrambling around. I'd say it was money well spent and should hopefully last a long time.

    Teva makes a great product but they keep tweeking it and making it more expensive. The first set I bought years ago were by far the best I owned. The padding better and overall fit better. These however due wear well and don't eat your feat after a couple of days in the sand.
