    I wanted a lighter stainless steel bottle for travel and it's so good, I'm now using it my regular bottle too. Keeps liquids hot all day so if you want to drink straight from the bottle, I'd suggest reducing the temperature of whatever you put in it!

    I've yet to use it for hot drinks, but so far it's great for chilled ones. To test it, I put ice cubes inside at night and filled it to the top with chilled water from the fridge. Left it all night and morning in a room with an ambient temperature of between 22-26 degrees. 12 hours later, there is still plenty of ice. The exterior feels just a little cool to touch and there is no condensation whatsoever. Time will tell how durable the exterior finish is, but as far as chilled drinks performance goes, I don't doubt the 24 hour keep cool claim. In cooler environments, it will likely exceed that.

    The Le Creuset bottle is doing a better job than my Klean Kanteen, Sistema and Sigg bottles at keeping water consistently cooler for longer; easily twelve hours or more and still cool after eighteen hours.

    It performs simarly well with hot water.

    The bottle top is easy to grasp and remove or apply and has not leaked a drop.

    The paint has held up well with everyday use going from table, to bag, to car and only has minimal paint scuffing around the base. The Le Creuset branding/motif looks like new despite washing and use. The colour has not faded in any way, or tarnished, which has occurred on my other bottles from other brands.

    Washing is very easy. The silicone grommet around the stopper can be easily removed and re-applied after washing. The bottle itself is easy to clean, but a longer brush makes this task easier.

    The only negative point to the bottle is the lack of a holder/clip/carrier, which are frequently found on other bottles. This can be quite annoying at times, when carrying it in the manner would make life easier.

    However, this would not deter me from purchasing this bottle. It seems superior to Klean Kanteen in durability and keeping liquids hot and cold.

    A heatwave! UK trip to Western France using ferry with about 14 hours of travel time and the drink was still very cool after that time.
    My technique, put cold drink of choice in hydration bottle and place in refrigerator (not freezer) for 2 days to allow all to cool.
    I don't enjoy drinking bottled beer direct from the bottle as I find the opening is too small to allow air release and so I'll always put bottled beer (other drinks are available) into a glass to enjoy it better. What I did like about this bottle is the generous size of the opening, easy to drink directly from, and I did not experience any leak.
    I bought Le Crouset type and coloured to match my existing collection but for my trip away from home the colour did not matter at all as it performed well keeping a cold drink...well cold. I've not used it for hot drinks, not my cup of tea (sorry for pun), but see no reason for it not to keep drinks hot. I like to sip really hot drinks fresh from a boiled kettle and have no plans for it to be used with hot drinks.

    I've had a few Thermos type bottles and flasks, but this Le Creuset bottle is by far the best in my opinion. It kept soup hot for around 12hrs, and more importantly, for me anyway. It kept my squash really cold for 20 plus hours, and cold for over the 24hrs suggested. I put ice cubes in the squash, and they were still there after 16hrs, that's a sign of good Thermos action. I would highly recommend this product
