ESRC Impact and Reach Review

Online Consent Form

Aim of the survey
You are invited to participate in a research study commissioned by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) to evaluate the impact and reach of its data investments. The data collected will be used to make the case for future funding of ESRC data investments, including the UK Data Service (UKDS), the Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS), the British Election Study, and Understanding Society. This survey is focused on those ESRC investments whose data is deposited with the UKDS.

This study will take approximately 10-15 minutes of your time. Once you begin you can save your responses at any time and return to them later by clicking the 'Save and continue later' button at the top of the screen.
Your decision to participate in this study or not is completely voluntary and you have the right to terminate your participation at any time without penalty.

Ethics and data protection policy
The information contained in your survey responses may be used as a case study to illustrate the impact of ESRC investments and may be included in the published outputs from our work. You should not include any sensitive or confidential information in your response.

You will be asked to supply your name and contact details for clarification purposes, for inclusion in a draw for 3 x £50 Amazon vouchers, and so that we can inform you of the outcomes of this study. Should you wish to opt out of any follow-up contact, you may do so before submitting your response.

The survey is being managed by Research Consulting, on behalf of the ESRC. Individual views will be treated in confidence in accordance with the Market Research Society's Code of Conduct.  The information you provide will only be used as part of this review and shall not be shared with organisations other than Research Consulting and the ESRC.
