Avril Lavigne is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She first rose to fame at 17 years old with the release of her popular debut studio album, Let Me Go. She has since released six more studio albums, earning a No. 1 hit with the 2007 single, "Girlfriend," and a total of eight Grammy nominations.
