Topping tech headlines on Monday was a new report from China Labor Watch that said abuses at factories for Apple supplier Pegatron are "even worse" than those at Foxconn.

That report, however, also seemed to confirm that Apple is indeed working on a low-cost iPhone. "Apple is preparing to release a cheap iPhone," the CLW report states plainly. That came after a new image showed up online indicating that the low-cost version of the iPhone will be known as the iPhone 5C.

Meanwhile,  the general manager for Twitter in the U.K. has promised to simplify the process for reporting abusive tweets after a freelance journalist, broadcaster, and feminist campaigner reported numerous rape threats on the micro-blogging service. "We're testing ways to simplify reporting, e.g. within a Tweet by using the 'Report Tweet' button in our iPhone app and on mobile Web," Twitter's Tony Wang tweeted over the weekend.

In other news, Google yesterday launched the first major update to Zagat since the search giant acquired it in Sept. 2011, overhauling the website and accompanying mobile apps.  Most notably, this also marks the first time Zagat content is available to all users for free, with no registration required.
