Join The Safety NetNearly every minute, a child dies from malaria – a deadly, yet preventable disease. The United Nations Foundation’s United to Beat Malaria campaign (formerly Nothing But Nets) is the world’s largest grassroots campaign working together to save lives by bringing together UN partners, advocates, and organizations, to raise awareness, funds, and voices to protect vulnerable families from malaria. Together from students to superstars to CEOs, let’s beat malaria for good.
Learn MoreNearly every minute, a child dies from malaria, a disease caused by a single mosquito bite. Malaria is preventable and treatable thanks to cost-effective tools such as insecticide treated bed nets and life-saving treatment. Half of the world’s population is at risk of contracting malaria, and refugees, pregnant women, and children are most vulnerable to this disease.
More About MalariaBed nets are a simple, cost-effective solution to keep families safe from malaria-carrying mosquitoes. Combined with household spraying, malaria testing and treatment, and vaccines in development, we are making progress in the fight to beat malaria for good.
Learn MoreOur malaria projects continue to prioritize young children and mothers, pregnant women, refugees and internally-displaced persons, hard-to-reach communities with little to no healthcare access, and frontline health workers who fight malaria in these communities.

Make a difference for children in East Africa this World Malaria Day. Thanks to the Benito and Frances C. Gaguine Foundation, all gifts received up to $100,000 will be matched now until April 30th supporting our Healthy Start for Refugee Children initiative.
With nearly 47 million forcibly displaced children globally, refugee children are among the most marginalized and at-risk people in the world. Last year, United to Beat Malaria and our sister campaign, Shot@Life, launched Healthy Start for Refugee Children. This new initiative aims to deliver essential health services to one million refugee and displaced children living in East Africa. In 2024, we invested in projects in Uganda, Ethiopia and South Sudan. In 2025, we are continuing to work in Ethiopia and Uganda. The success of this two-year initiative will not only ensure refugee children receive the health services they urgently need, but also deliver related health education and strengthen health systems so host countries may better meet the needs of displaced families moving forward.
Please donate today and safeguard children’s health.
