This is what I dislike about politics - when things are going in your favor, you tend to overlook your mistakes, but as soon as the tide turns against you, you suddenly become a vocal critic.

What if the lawmakers has lost at the supreme Court. What'll be their fact?

Are you saying that because the Lawmakers have "won" at the Supreme Court, that gives them the liberty to now become tyrannical?
The kind of gangsterism and lawlessness that some of you encourage in this Country, is beyond belief!
Absolute Power, Corrupts Absolutely.

Have these Lawmakers suddenly become "gods", just because our Judiciary is extremely Corrupt and a party to Lawlessness?
It was formerly "Supreme Court Governor, Now we have Supreme Court House of Assembly!
if we talk now, some spineless people will run to their MOD-friends to ban us but they cannot engage in a healthy discussion.

Judgement has been pronounced in their Favor, the Governor has magnanimously accepted the miscarriage of Justice, for the sake of Peace and Progress of his State and Indigene, what else is he suppose to do?
Come crawling on all fours, from Government House to the Private residence of these lawless Lawmakers?

Why is the President always subtly attacking Fubara, instead of chastising his defecting lawmakers, thereby embolden them to misbehave?
Is there no one in this Country that can give the President "Candid Advise" anymore? Is it out of fear or out of Hypocrisy?
If you love PBAT the way l love him, then you will tell him the Truth, instead of just hailing him and encouraging more Lawlessness in the Country he governs.

Is it too much for the President to make it clear as daylight to these WIke group of Lawmakers, that "Look, you have been re-instated, now it is time to act with decorum and stop threatening the Governor with Impeachment?
Why cant he take that Threat tot he Governor, off the Table, as a father to the whole Nation or does anyone think for a minute, that these Lawmakers who have Publicly defected, sworn a Legal Affidavit to that effect and said so on Camera, can still reclaim their Seats, as per what is written in the Nigerian Constitution and decided cases (Precedents in our Highest Courts), if not for the influence of the President?

All these rascality is not helping our Democracy, let us not use our hands to create another IPOB-like Problem for ourselves.
Nigerians are not Fools.
As for Wike, That whom God cannot bend, He has not Created.

Enough with the politics of wickedness and acrimony. Nyesom Wike must never be allowed to bully Fubara.

We reject such proposal with every force of heaven. Rather than Fubara leave, Nyesom Wike will collapse and go for divine judgement!

You people will be alive to see Nyesom Wike run totally mad in Jesus name. Amen.

Nyesom Wike have arrogated Godly powers to himself. He thinks he is God! But heavens will proove to Nyesom Wike that he is a mere mortal! Power belongs to God almighty alone! He will face DIVINE JUDGEMENT IMMEDIATELY IN JESUS NAME. AMEN!

God has never lost a single battle since time immemorial. The heavens will wipe out Wike and all his entire minions from Nigeria in Jesus name. Amen.

THE DAILY FOUNTAIN
DAILY DEVOTIONAL OF THE
CHURCH OF NIGERIA (ANGLICAN COMMUNION)
DATE: THURSDAY, MARCH 13, 2025
TOPIC: THE BELIEVER AND PERSECUTION
READ: MATTHEW 5:10-12 (NKJV)

5:10. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11. "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
5:12. "Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great [is] your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

THE MESSAGE:

Persecution for the believer is part of the Christian race. It involves hardship or suffering on account of professing or living the Christian life. But this type of suffering is not because of zeal without knowledge, or careless and sinful lifestyles. Christians should therefore not feel embarrassed or hurt when they suffer persecution. Persecution is painful, but the comfort is that the Bible says, “Such are blessed” (verses 11-12). Jesus Christ our Lord and the godly men of old; like Jeremiah, Stephen, John, Paul, etc., experienced different kinds of persecution. Some, like Stephen, even lost their lives, which was not in vain, because he made heaven (Acts 7:54-60).

Persecution is also an experience we cannot avoid, Jesus said, “If they persecuted me, they will persecute you” (John 15:20). Brethren, if persecution is not an elective course for believers, then must rejoice and be exceedingly glad (Matthew 5:12); endure persecution (1 Corinthians 4:12); bless those who persecute you (Romans 12:14), pray always (1 Thessalonians 5:17), always attend Christian fellowships (Hebrews 10:25), etc. Persecution though painful, cannot dislodge us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, if we have the right attitude and lifestyle. Again, the Holy Spirit is always available to help and comfort us in all situations. Let us therefore look unto Jesus for victory and eternal reward.

PRAYER: Father; please help me to overcome every persecution that may come my way. Amen!

Good evening, well-meaning Nigerians; I am typing this post amidst severe pain and serious hunger.

With the current hardship in our dear country, how will a poor but hardworking person like me survive?

I am confused and in trauma.

I am 30 years old and an O.LEVEL holder. I had a car accident five weeks ago and got bedridden as a result of a broken leg that I suffered in the accident.

The car accident threw me into trauma and hunger, as I am unable to go out to hustle for my daily bread as I used to do before.

As I am typing this, I have yet to eat food since morning because I am totally broke now. I spent the last #60,000 I have on me on medication. I am in Lagos, but my parents are far back in Kwara State, Ilorin, my hometown. I am thinking of relocating back home to get better treatment, but the issue is I still do not have the transportation fare.

Please, daddies, mummies, and my brothers and sisters on Nairaland forum, please help me; hunger is doing a very deadly work in my body.

I live at No. 26, Araromi Street, Eleko Town, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

If you live close to me and want to visit me, my phone number is 0913 531 0933 and that's my address. Please help me.

Below are my bank details; please have mercy on me.

May God bless you more and grant you all your heart desires as you help me.

May God turn our situation in Nigeria from its current state to a better state that will bring joy, happiness, and riches to you, me, and all Nigerians. Ameen

Politics / Re: An Ijaw Man Was Made Governor Out Of Our Benevolence, They Are Minority - Wike by Allogic: 1:57am
ElevationD:
This man is truly very petty.

What’s the business of the rest of Niger Delta in the issue? When he says Niger Delta, he’s including Edo, Delta, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers in the matter that’s not their business. Wike should confine his claim to Rivers state.

Talking about Rivers state. There are 23 local governments in the state, with the Ijaws occupying 12 local governments. Obviously they are in clear majority in the state.

LGAs in Rivers State:

Abua/Odua, Andoni, Bonny, Asari-Toru, Akuku-Toru, Ogu /Bolo, Degema, Okrika, Opobo /Nkoro, Egenni in Ahoadawest, Omubaraibi in etche, and Port Harcourt south.

Ikwerre LGAs in Rivers state:

Port Harcourt, Obio-Akpor, Ikwerre, and Emohua.

The Ijaws are in clear majority in Rivers state, while Wike’s ethnic Ikwerres have four local governments. If power has found itself in the hands of the majority Ijaws, they should be allowed to enjoy their turn. It’s nobody’s fault that Wike chose an Ijaw man. He knew what he was running from and what was chasing him. The governor must be allowed to run his state peacefully.
You are not truthful in your comments. One woke was on point mentioning Niger Delta because part of topic is the threat being made by ijaw groups that they will turn Niger Delta into hell if Mubarak is removed., or are you not in Nigeria? So in rivers state there are only ikwerre and ijaw ethnic groups? Let me tell you ijaw people don't have majority in more than six out of the 23 lgc in rivers state. Overall they are minority in rivers state ( very vocal and violent minority).
