The Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex, located in the Central African Copperbelt, is the world’s fastest-growing, highest-grade, and lowest-carbon emitting, major copper mine. Annual copper production capacity at Kamoa-Kakula is projected to surpass 600,000 tonnes, positioning it as one of the world's largest copper mines. Kamoa-Kakula’s 2025 production guidance is estimated between 520,000– 580,000 tonnes of copper.

Mine Ownership: Ivanhoe Mines 60-100%

The Western Foreland Exploration Project encompasses an extensive area to the north, south and west of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex. Ivanhoe geoscientists have identified striking geological similarities to the Kamoa and Kakula copper discoveries across the Western Forelands area, which currently hosts the Makoko, Makoko West, Kiala and Kitoko copper discoveries. Ivanhoe has committed US$50 million to its 2025 exploration activities in the Western Forelands, demonstrating a strong commitment to unlocking the region's full copper prospective.

Mine Ownership: Ivanhoe Mines 62%

The historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver-lead mine in the DRC returned to production in June 2024. Kipushi Mine will be one of the world’s leading producers of high-grade, low-emissions zinc and associated metals. Kipushi's 2025 production guidance is set between 180,000 and 240,000 tonnes of zinc in concentrate.
