She’s always been a head turner – be it as a teenager growing up in Chandigarh to now as a leading model in the country. So when Aanchal Kumar arrived this Saturday evening to officially get rolling the two-day exhibition ‘Designer’s Vista’,heads turned once again. Looking natty in an off-shoulder dress,Aanchal was visibly impressed by the creativity on display. “Each time I come home to Chandigarh, there’s something new waiting for me. I think I should come home more often,” the pretty model smiled to say. Not that it’s been a chock-a-block year so far for her. “Work is only now picking up in the new season. Recession wasn’t good and business dipped and that includes the world of fashion,” Kumar mentions seriously. Having walked the ramp for fashion weeks, she’s now gearing up for London. Unlike other models who have chosen to walk other career paths including those leading to Bollywood,Aanchal has kept focus. “I love fashion and the world of modelling. I truly enjoy it and have a disciplined approach to work,” mentions Kumar. But didn’t Bollywood or Television come calling at some point of time? “Oh,yes there were offers but non exciting and I always had prior commitments to honour,” shoots the leggy lady as she goes on to add,“But I really like reality television. Look the way it’s changed television programming in India,” admits Kumar who doesn’t rule out signing on a reality show like Bigg Boss. “I loved Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 2 and Bigg Boss as well,” says Aanchal who might just be seen on a show like that. “Trust me,you’ll hear about it soon,” giggled the model who for now is making the most of her trip back home. “My parents will fuss over me and I might just put on some weight in the process,” she laughs to say. But she’ll still turn heads!
