There was a deeply troubling and disappointing decision from the Supreme Court issued at 1:00 AM Saturday night. The ruling temporarily stopped the Trump administration from carrying out deportations of illegal aliens under the Alien Enemies Act until the Supreme Court has a chance to issue a final judgment. The ruling is odd because the court just recently upheld the administration’s authority to carry out deportations under the act. Justices Alito and Thomas dissented from the weekend’s sudden reversal. Here’s something I am praying and hoping is not true: That the Left’s effort to intimidate the conservative majority has caused the buckling of the knees of three conservative justices.
