- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2014Filing the FASFA is a very informative, comprehensively detailed and instructive step-by-step guide to completing the FAFSA from start to finish. Filing the FAFSA presents invaluable information that is written in a very user-friendly, accurate, clear and complete manner that is not intimidating to the reader, but, on the contrary, will provide immense insights, understanding, and confidence to families when completing the FAFSA. Filing the FASFA further helps to define every entry within FAFSA on the Web (FOTW). It covers all the important elements of the financial aid process: how to avoid common errors, strategies to facilitate increasing eligibility for need-based financial aid, and other funding options to assist in covering college costs.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2015Truly only meant for Undergraduate filing. If you're filing for Grad school as a single with no dependents (i.e. filing your taxes is straightforward), you won't need this.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2014Mark Kantrowitz and David Levy remove the anxiety and stress of filing out a FAFSA. In four steps, "Getting Ready", " FAFSA Account Creation and Setup", "Completing the FAFSA", and "Next Steps", they walk you through each section with great detail. Additionally, you will find answers to many, if not all of your questions in this clear and concise book.
This book is recommended highly for students, families, school counselors, independent educational consultants, and others who need to know about the FAFSA.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2015Don't buy this book! If you are reading this you have probably smart enough and have done enough research that you already know everything in this book. Most of it simply repeats the basic instructions given when you fill out the form. You would be better off taking the money that this book costs and applying it towards your college fund. Good Luck
- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2015Received book very quickly and it was extremely helpful.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2014Not as detailed as I would have hoped.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2014This book is well written and it helped our family on two issues. It is not as useful for the middle to lower income people. It could make one confused about certain things. If you are not a big income family, you must read the book all of the way through to avoid confusion. It's very important to read it cover to cover before you do your FAFSA. I believe the authors suggest this to all readers.
The book is 5 stars for those who have a lot of money and assets. It's not as helpful for regular people, who actually need financial help for their kids. That's me. ( I am giving the book to my wealthy friend, and that statement is fairly hilarious.)
Certain sections apply nicely for the wealthier person, to simply pick the part of the book that deals with a conundrum about assets, how to list them on the FAFSA, etc. The book also covers questions for those who are or have been in the military.
