Google just announced a solution for those annoying auto-play audio webpages that are hidden among your web-browser tabs.
The updated Chrome Beta release will now display a speaker icon on the tab of a web page playing unwanted audio, so you can quickly identify the page and close it, or just stop the audio from playing. This feature, while simple, could turn out to be one of the most popular incentives to download the Chrome Beta, particularly for users who rely on multiple-tabbed browsing.

In addition to the audio-icon alert, the update also includes alerts for webpages that access your webcam and send content to your television.
Other features include an app launcher for those using the Chrome Beta on Windows 8, automatic blocking of malware and a new alert that will notify you when you’re about to visit a malicious webpage or download a dangerous file.
The Chrome Beta is currently available for download, here.
