5.0 out of 5 stars Well written and easy to understand!
It's not unusual to feel uncomfortable with the world of finance. It is a world of complex products and arcane rules. What I like best about John's approach to the subject is that he explains things so you don't have to have an MBA to get his point. Add to that the fact that his book is full of links to other resources and this becomes an essential tool for any retiree's bookshelf.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sensible and simple retirement investment guide
This doesn't recommend specific investments, but it does cut through the complicated investment landscape to offer a simple strategy. While I've read several books to learn about investing, this is the keeper. Not only for the retirement planning guidance, but for the fine and complete list of recommended reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best!!!
Just about the best retirement book I have read. This convinced me to take control of my finances and leave (most) the mutual fund charges behind.
