From the manufacturer

Unrestrained brilliance
The high resolution of this monitor (WQHD, 2560 x 1440 pixels) combines with a rapid refresh rate of 144Hz and a blazingly fast response time of 1ms to deliver ultra-smooth action sequences in great detail. This is a frameless gaming monitor, so all that action is free to go where your mind goes.

High-speed connections
As a high-end gaming monitor, the XG is designed to handle high rates of data transfer. To get all that data to the monitor quickly and smoothly requires high-bandwidth data cables. That’s why these monitors come with high-bandwidth connection ports like HDMI 2.0, DVI (Dual Link), and DisplayPort.

Great eye protection
These monitors help to reduce eye strain with Flicker-less, low-dimming (dim to only 10% of brightness in dark environments), anti-glare, and blue-light filtering technologies. Flicker-less technology reduces strain-causing screen flickering, while the blue-light filter lets you filter out harmful blue light. Acer ComfyView technology cuts screen glare to further reduce eye strain.

FreeSync eliminates “tearing”
This monitor’s DisplayPort port supports DisplayPort Adaptive-Sync. That means this monitor can work with a FreeSync-supporting graphics card and driver software to eliminate screen tearing, while minimizing lag and latency. With FreeSync, the monitor’s frames are synced with the graphics card’s frames, which eliminates screen tearing and delivers very smooth gaming experiences.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2015I am very happy with this purchase. I think that, as far as improving my computing experience, it's one of the best items that I have ever bought.
When it comes to computer components and peripherals, I personally am much more interested in getting the best value than the best. The combination of the price, the 2560x1440, the 144 Hz refresh rate, the FreeSync support, and the 1ms response time make this one of, if not the best value monitor as it currently stands. The several hundred dollar difference between these features on a TN monitor and these features on an IPS monitor is simply not worth it in my opinion, nor is G-Sync worth the cost increase over FreeSync. I cannot comment on the longevity of this item, but I have no doubt that I will be happy to use it for as long as it holds up.
I was not a fan of the red/orange bezel, but as soon as you turn on your computer you'll hardly notice it at all. The stand is pretty barebones, but it does its job adequately and I haven't experienced any kind of wobbling whatsoever. Included in the box was an HDMI cable, DVI cable, and Displayport cable - this was convenient as I wasn't sure if these would be included and it was nice to avoid running to the store to pick up cables myself.
Regarding stuck pixels:
It's been quite a while since I've upgraded monitors, and when I first turned it on I was struck by how beautiful the picture looked. I started looking for wallpapers and pulled up a black one, which is when I noticed that the entire left side of the screen had several dozen pixels that were stuck on green. Not having experienced this before, I was terrified that this monitor was a lemon. After reading up a bit, I found that these "stuck pixels" could be easily fixed on your own - all I had to do was pull up a Youtube video on full-screen that flashed green/red/blue images in quick succession. After a couple of minutes of the flashing images, I went back to the image I had seen this issue with and the stuck pixels were gone. I haven't had any further issues since. So if you have this same problem: don't panic! Just search "stuck pixel fix" on Youtube, set it to full-screen, and make sure the flashing image covers the entire screen (if not, pull up another video that is fitted for a 2560x1440 screen). Since the fix was so easy and I'm not sure how common this problem is, it doesn't seem to be worth knocking off a star, but it really took the wind out of my sails for a moment when I thought that my monitor was defective.
Overall, though, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone who is in the market for such an item and has a good (AMD) graphics card to take advantage of the high refresh rate, FreeSync, and other features that it has to offer.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2019Excellent monitor for both gaming and office use. Monitor is well built arrived in perfect condition. Monitor comes with a few settings off but every tv and monitor is more then likely not set to your specific taste when you first get it anyways. To clarify some confusion on which cable to use. HDMI 2.0 and above does support 1440p@144hz. However for anyone who uses gsync which yes is supported for this monitor certified by nvidia it will not work unless you use the displayport cable. Meaning on HDMI it will be at 1440p@144hz but without gsync on. When you use the display port cable it will automatically enable gsync. To verify its on open the nvidia control panel on the left you will see a enable gsync tab. Everything will already by check but you can verify its on. The bezel is a gun metal red and its classy and not to bright. Doesnt distract at all. Monitor tilts but no up and down movement. Just know what your buying before you buy it and you wont be dissapointed like a lot of these other reviews that seem like they didnt do research before buying something. There is no vesa mount support so if your plan is to use one or in the near future use on it will not work. I can promise any gamers that for the money to value it is well worth it. Anyone who games I can also tell you that if your going from 60hz to 144hz you will never go back. Excellent purchase. Highly recommend.
EDIT: DO NOT use the setting in the monitor called super sharpness without extreme cooling on cpu. I have a 120mm AIO liquid cooler and it cause my cpu temps to spike well higher then they ever should have with that setting on. with it off im back into the mid to high 40's. Use caution when turning this setting on.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2015UPDATE:
After having used the monitor for some time now, and being past the original quality control issues, I am very happy with the quality (and particularly the 140Hz).
I still feel users should be aware that unless they have very strong hardware, they will have to choose between Freesync OR 140Hz as the vast majority of rigs will not be able to support both simultaneously.
----------
After 2 RMAs and some quality control issues.....it looks great and its super fast. Viewing angles suck, but its a TN panel so that is to be expected. I'll take the faster refresh over viewing angles any day.
-----------------------
NOTE!!!! For almost every user out there, you will probably have to pick between 144Hz and Freesync. Only those with extremely high end, multi-gpu systems will be able to run 144Hz and Freesync at the same time, and even then it is unlikely you can do it in 1440 resolution.
PROS:
-Great colors (although greens are a little off)
-More than enough brightness
-Super fast response
NEUTRALS:
-Vast majority of users will not be able to run freesync and 144hz at same time.
PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR HARDWARE CAN HANDLE BOTH FREESYNC AND 144HZ AT THE SAME TIME!!!
CONS:
-It is a TN panel (viewing angles, but not a major deal for me)
Freesync is a great idea which does improve some visuals, but it works by matching your refresh rate (Hz) to your gpu's frames per second (FPS). This means playing games that are running at 45-60 frames per second, although totally playable, cause the monitor to refresh at only 45-60Hz on Freesync mode making for a trade-off experience (most current monitors refresh at 60Hz). You gain freesync but you are now refreshing at or below most 'typical' monitors.
For almost every user, you will probably have to pick between 144Hz and Freesync (in my opinion, 144hz wins no contest).
I personally have an R9 290 and on new but not overly graphically intensive games like Dirty Bomb (50-60FPS) and Dota 2 (70ish fps). Turning on freesync in these games, especially if I get an FPS dip (heavy combat, etc), results in an awful experience.
I decided to add the second video card to up my FPS so I can take advantage of both the refresh rate and the freesync features, but dropping another $350 on a second video card after $500 on a monitor is not what most people have in mind. Keep that in mind!

5.0 out of 5 stars Performance + Value
I’ll be updating this review after I build my PC and can actually game at 1440p/144mz.
However for what I can say, the package arrived on time and in great shape. I ordered this product refurbished listed as “very good”. I’m honestly unsure how it wasn’t listed as “like new”.
The front panel seems to be impeccable. No dead pixels, no scratches whatsoever. The only possible thing at all might be some light smudging on the BACK on the the monitor. I emphasize very light, and you’d never notice it while using the monitor because again, it’s on the back. It might even be able to be buffed out.
I did have a minor heart attack at one point though, when I thought the monitor was failing. Turns out I didn’t plug the power cord in tightly enough, and it was loose. This isn’t the monitors fault.
For any buyers, just ensure you press the plug into the monitor tightly!
I’ll update the gaming performance when I can play on a better system than a 1080p 60hz Xbox.
But for now I’m saying the panel quality seems to be perfect. If you absolutely need a rotating/swivelling stand, you’ll have to look elsewhere (and likely pay 250 more dollars according to what I’ve seen.) For me, the stand works just fine, and you can adjust the tilt with ease.
A great value buy. So far I strongly recommend the monitor, and recommend buying “very good” refurbished.

5.0 out of 5 stars Increible calidad
Mis specs i7 4790k, z97 gaming gt, ram 16gb 166mhz, R9 295x2 y SSD 120gb + 2Tb WD black y 3TB WD purple

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente monitor

5.0 out of 5 stars Offers gamers something reasonable without breaking their wallets!
This monitor has to be compared within its context as a low budget TN panel with high-end features. As that it is great and offers gamers something that won't break their wallets but delivers uncompromising picture quality for its class. Sharp, crisp and clear images with freesync at 144mhz for this price is no small order. I love the red-orange color of the stand and bottom border.
The OSD is not as bad as some are complaining, it's quite manageable. Unless you're the type of person who always adjusts settings and switches between inputs you'll likely just be setting it once and forgetting it. My only real complaint is the fact that the stand is very flimsy, but I knew this ahead of time, and it is something I can live with since I'm barely touching it. If you're sensible, you'll mostly be enjoying the incredible picture quality and smooth gaming experience.
Overall 4.5/5

4.0 out of 5 stars Casi perfecto, pero muy recomendable.
