From the clean and elegant lines, to the hand finished leather and brass detail - it is easy to see why the Hadley Pro is our most popular photographic bag.

For example it features a carry handle on top (as well as a shoulder strap) which is reinforced with fibreglass to minimise stress on the bag as you lift it. Just a small example of the thought and engineering put into the bag.

Like all other Hadleys (except the Hadley Digital) the Pro comes with a removable padded insert (including a lid) made with fabric covered foam that protects your gear from all sides. Remove this insert and you can turn the Hadley Pro into a stylish messenger bag. The main flap is sculpted around the opening to prevent rain, snow or unwanted fingers getting into the bag – perfect for street photography. Of course the rain protection doesn’t stop there – like all Billingham bags it is made from a three layer fabric with a core of butyl rubber that is impermeable to water.

The bag easily fits most DSLRs (without a battery grip) or almost any mirrorless camera – and a couple of small to medium sized lenses with accessories. The capacity of the bag can be increased with our optional AVEA pockets that attach to the leather side panels.

For ease of access the Pro features the Quick Release System (QRS) to which we have added solid brass buckles. Why both? Simple, the QRS allows you to open and close the bag quickly and securely. The buckles allow you to tailor the fit of the front pockets to suit your needs.

Inside the padded insert we have supplied 4 removable foam dividers to keep your gear organised - two vertical dividers and two small flappy dividers, perfect for stacking lenses. Additionally, on the back of the bag is a discrete zipped compartment - perfect for storing airline tickets or maps.

    This is my favorite bag. I use it primarily as my laptop bag for work. Fits a 15-inch Macbook Pro (behind the insert). I keep a 3-4 paperback books and an X100F in there, too. Great usability. The features are well-implemented. Should look even better in 10 years.

    Ja, richtig gelesen. Und wenn es einmal vorkommt, muss es auch gesagt werden. An der Aussentasche an sich ist nichts auszusetzen, aber bei der herausnehmbaren Innentasche war ein Klettstreifen nur zur Hälfte angenäht. Darf das bei diesem Preis passieren? Wurde vielleicht ein englischer Schneidermeister unerwartet ins Königshaus gerufen? ;-( Ich habe versucht das weghängende Teil selbst anzunähen – sieht aber aus wie die Naht bei Frankensteins Monster. Der Faden in der richtigen Farbe war auch nicht verfügbar. Wenn man's nicht annäht, reisst man sich beim nächsten Einteilungswechsel den ganzen Streifen heraus. Merkwürdig finde ich auch, dass innerhalb von ein paar Monaten eine andere Innentasche geliefert wird: Bei der Hadley Pro in FibreNyte schwarz wurde im Juni 2014 noch ein Inneteil mitgeliefert, der innen vollständig mit Stoff verkleidet war (Haftfläche für Klett). Auch die Einteilungsstreifen waren aus weichem Stoff. Jetzt sind es halbherzig angenähte Klettstreifen und auch die Einteilungsstreifen sind steifer und glatt und auch einen Ticken zu hoch. Für mich ist das ein eindeutiger Fall von Verschlimmbesserung. Billingham wirbt ja immer mit der aussergewöhnlich guten Verarbeitung, die ja auch angeblich den Preis rechtfertigen soll. Dass man den Leder-Schulterpolster SP-40 auch immer extra dazubestellen muss finde aich auch nicht in Ordnung. Der gehört einfach dazu (Konzept: Fototaschen-Bausatz) ohne Schulterpolster rutscht der Gurt ständig von der glatten Winterjacke. Zurückschicken wegen dieser Lapalie? Da fehlen mir die Nerven.
    Das Gute: eine kompakte Tasche in Vintage-Optik, wasserabweisend (man braucht keinen Regensack drüberstülpen), guter Tragegriff – daher immer noch 3 Sterne für dieses verunglückte Exemplar. Mit den anderen Billingham Taschen bin ich sehr zufrieden (darunter eine fast 20 Jahre alte Tasche).
